This intricately handwoven camel hanging decoration is made by women of the Zaatari Refugee Camp in northern Jordan. The camp hosts around 80,000 Syrian refugees who have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict. Many residents of the camp have been there for almost a decade since fighting began in their homeland. The camel is a symbol of endurance, strength and persistence.
