The perfect mix of locally sourced Egyptian cotton and upcycled Egyptian plastic bags, this unique, practical and eye-catching tote bag, with both external and internal pockets, is suitable for every occasion. In classic cream cotton, with strong black handles and a reinforced plastic base in green and black, this is a fantastically durable bag. 3-6 single-use plastic bags are ironed together to create the base and pockets for every Very Nile bag.
Co-designed and handcrafted by the women of Qursaya Island, a Nile Island in the metropolitan region of Cairo. This creative co-operative are known as Very Nile, producing innovative, practical and durable fashion accessories whilst saving the planet through their creation of recycled plastic fabrics. They also partner with local residents and businesses who donate their single-use plastics to be upcycled into the durable fabrics used to create these uniquely fabulous accessories.
NB: Slight variations in colour are common due to the upcycled nature of these products.
