In Lebanon, coffee is more than just a morning caffeine jolt, it is the beverage that accompanies hospitality and socialising - the cornerstone of society. The Finjen (Arabic for 'small cup') is the traditional receptical for a serving of the intensely strong traditional coffee brewed in Lebanon, which is meant to be enjoyed piping hot and in the company or friends and family. These finjen ceramic cups are decorated with the traditional 'Shaffeh' pattern - Shaffeh is an Arabic word meaning 'one sip' and has come to refer to this pattern which is so readily associated with arabic coffee culture. With reds and greens reminiscent of the Lebanese flag, sipping coffee from these cups with friends will transport you with an authentic taste of Lebanon.
