A cookbook of modern recipes inspired by the Middle East
Bavel (pronounced bah-VELLE), the Hebrew translation of 'Babel', is a metaphor for the myriad of cultural, spiritual, and political differences that divide us. Chefs of the renowned Los Angeles restaurant of the same name, Ori Menashe and Genevieve Gergis, have collected together more than 85 recipes, alongside personal stories, that celebrate the diversity of Middle Eastern cuisine, inspired by Menashe's Israeli upbringing and Gergis' Egyptian roots. Join them in exploring the rich language that unites us all, the language of food, flavour and favourite home-cooked dishes.

I’ll know better when my grandson gets this for Christmas. He’s a better cook than I am so hopefully he’ll like it. It looks a very nice book if a bit big for a small kitchen.
