Artwork created exclusively for Embrace by self-taught Palestinian visual artist Shatha Safi. Living in Dheisheh Refugee Camp, south of Bethlehem, Shatha's art connects deeply to her family's experience of the Nakba and their displacement from Jerash village in 1948. Inspired by Palestinian heritage, history and tradition, her art represents a powerful yet peaceful resistance against occupation.
