Al-Kafaàt

In Arabic, Al-Kafaàt means ‘abilities’. Its mission is to empower those living with disabilities or disadvantages to contribute more actively within their society by offering them health, therapeutic and education programmes.

Embrace supports Al-Kafaàt to provide rehabilitation, specialised education and sheltered employment workshops for children and adults with differing levels of physical and learning abilities in Lebanon.

Their craft workshops are one element of their work. Art has long been known to benefit emotional expression and a sense of well-being, as well as helping to develop motor skills and stimulate cognitive development. The creative abilities of the students are beautifully showcased in their scented handmade candles and cut-glass mosaic crosses.
