Created from recycled glass bottles and jars salvaged from the Cairo area, these beautiful hurricane tealight candle holders are heated, precision cut, polished and then sandblasted to create the frosted and decorative designs. These exquisite home decor items are created exclusively by women artisans who are considered the main pillars of their families and are often the sole wage earners for their households. Kendaka is the name traditionally bestowed upon strong, brave and wise Nubian Queens hence it is a very appropriate name for this passionate collaboration of women artisans in Badr City. I already have the Olive Wood cross but have mislaid it. I love the calmness and peace stroking the wood gives me. The keyring is a perfect way to always have it with you. I will definitely be buying more to give out as gifts.
